PROM Detection Test

PROM

Premature Rupture of Membrane

Preterm Premature Rupture of Membrane (PPROM) occurs when the amniotic sac membranes rupture before the 37th week of pregnancy. This causes leakage of amniotic fluid increasing the risk of infections and preterm birth.
Risks to mother

A woman with premature rupture of membranes is at risk of intra-amniotic infection, postpartum infection, endometritis, and sometimes even death.

Risks to baby

A neonate born because of premature rupture of membrane is at high risk of respiratory distress syndrome, sepsis, intraventricular hemorrhage and death.

A Major Diagnostic Challenge
High Incidence Rate

Need for Early Detection of PROM

India has the highest preterm births in which PROM occurs in 8-10% of all pregnancies.

Inaccurate Diagnosis by current Diagnostic Methods

Conventional diagnosis includes hospitalization and costly invasive tests that show inaccurate results in the presence of other vaginal secretions.
An innovative solution

Why choose our PROM Detection Test?

It is a rapid point-of-care test that detects premature rupture of membrane even in the presence of vaginal secretions such as blood before 30 weeks of gestation.
